Emergency Medical Technician
Course Aim: To provide students with the essential skills and knowledge necessary to provide care management to a wide spectrum of sick and injured patients, it also prepares students to undergo the Pre-Hospital Care Council (PHECC) examination. This is the minimum requirement to work on an ambulance in Ireland.
Course Structure: 120 classroom hours followed by 40 hours clinical placements. (Medicall will arrange all placements on its own fleet of ambulances - guaranteed!). This course can be run either as a full-time or part-time basis (Two week days per week 7pm - 10pm and full day each Saturday for a 10 week period).

Tutors: All tutors are experienced Paramedics or Advanced Paramedics. Each tutor is registered with the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) at tutor level.
