Content
Participants will be able to:
Give an explanation & demonstration of:
(a) Donning & Operation of Emergency Breathing System Equipment
(b) The principles of Emergency Breathing System equipment
(c) The durations of Emergency Breathing Systems
(d) Flotation dynamics associated with Emergency Breathing System equipment

Delegates to practice & demonstrate:
(a) Donning a survival suit, aviation life jacket and emergency breathing system equipment
(b) Verifying the integrity of the emergency breathing system equipment
(c) Carrying out re-breathing actions using emergency breathing system equipment
(d) Carrying out breathing actions in a pool environment utilizing personal air ( must experience positive and negative pressure created by body orientation in the water)
(e) Deploying EBS equipment, operating a push out window and carrying out a dry evacuation via a nominated emergency exit to a heliraft from a helicopter ditched in water.
(f) Assisting others where possible and carrying out vital and secondary actions
(g) Escape, through a window opening which is underwater, partially submerged helicopter (deploying and operating EBS equipment but without operating a push window)
(h) Escape, through a window opening which is underwater from a partially submerged helicopter (deploying and operating EBS equipment and operating a push out window)
(i) Escape, through a window opening which is underwater, from a capsized helicopter (deploying EBS equipment on a surface prior to capsize and operating a push out window), inflating a lifejacket and carrying out in water procedures (including individual and group survival techniques)
Note : This course is Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation approved and carries UK registration
